About Us

Allstate Hairstyling & Barber College was established on September 6, 1961. The college has been under the ownership and directorship of Philip and Michael D’Amico since October 1, 1974.

Facility
Allstate Hairstyling & Barber College is located at 2546 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113. There is ample parking available. The college is licensed for 40 students. A Shop typical class consists of 25 students at the location. This location has three departments: the clinic / shop, the classroom and the offices. The clinic has 27 barber chairs and stations. The classroom is equipped with desks, flat planel TV, wireless network, a hair analyzer, visual aid charts, and various other teaching aids. The college is provided with air conditioning, ventilation and steam heat, and illuminated with a fluorescent light system.

Educational Objectives and Philosophy
The philosophy and objectives of the Allstate Hairstyling & Barber College are:

To provide a well-rounded educational program which will fit the needs and demands of the barber profession, which includes all services that may be requested by the clientele of barbers / styling shops and salons.
To provide the students with the theory and practical knowledge of regular haircuts, the creation of modern hairstyles with unity to form and balance, the hair and scalp care, permanents, hair coloring, shaving, etc.
To train students so that they can become successfully employed as a barber stylist, including training in the business methods required for operating a shop.
To prepare the students to successfully pass the Ohio State Barber Board Examination.
